Tuan Nguyen

I'm an M.S. student in Computer Science at UIUC, working with Prof. Fan Lai on efficient machine learning systems. My current work is on making retrieval-augmented LLM serving faster and cheaper.

Before UIUC, I spent six years on ML research and engineering in Vietnam: clinical AI software for echocardiography at VNU University of Engineering and Technology, then federated learning at VinUniversity. I'm also a Ph.D. student in the VinUni–UIUC joint program, co-advised by Prof. Kok-Seng Wong and Prof. Khoa Doan.
